BeyondFaces

An exclusive CryptoArts series of 25 unique portraits (Faces) by the Dutch artist JARI. The paintings are grouped into four styles: Water, Open, Lines, and Colour. Each Face is a “Non-Fungible-Token” (NFT) stored on the Ethereum blockchain. Using a mixture of traditional techniques and modern technology this series investigates the universal human desire to be seen. Faces

Each Face is based on a unique portrait. The expressionist style in which the portraits are composed encourages us to let go of our primary attempts to define aesthetics. What else can you see in the other when you look carefully, nonjudgmentally?

The style, techniques and materials used for the 25 Faces is overall similar, binding them together into a series. BeyondFaces is subdivided into 4 stylistic groups of Faces, differering in emphasis on artistic details. more

Authenticated physical artwork

All owners of an NFT Face have direct ownership to the physical artwork on which the Face is based. This physical piece also has a unique non transferrable address on the Vechain Thor blockchain. Each canvas is tagged with a unique tamper proof NFC chip that you can scan. An application verifies that the artwork is an authentic JARI BeyondFaces piece.

In order to make sure it will be sent to the right address, buyers should fill out this form. With the information JARI will be able to validate if the submitted delivery address is linked to the buyer. If a purchaser chooses not to receive the original piece, then it will be kept securely in place until requested by the current or next purchaser. Once the physical piece leaves our custody, responsibility of delivery lies solely with the owner.
